WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Bible to be God’s words and revelation to man. In it’s original writing, it is perfect and free of any mistakes, and it is where we find truth. (Psalm 19:7-10; 1 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12)

We believe that there is one true God, who exists in three persons. He is the creator of all things and the redeemer of mankind. He exists as God the Father, God the Son in the person of Jesus Christ, and God the Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, 2:7; Colossians 1:13-22; Ephesians 1:13-14)

We believe God created man as His special creation because we are made in His image. We were created as male and female. (Genesis 1:26-30; 2:5,7,18-22)

We believe man fell into sin by his own will and that sin nature is inherited by all. Because of this inherited sin nature, all of mankind deserves the wrath of God. (Genesis 3; Romans 1:19-32)

We believe that salvation from sin can only come from God and is offered freely to all because of the grace of God. Jesus, God the Son, came to Earth, lived a perfect life, and died in our place. He took the wrath of God that we deserved upon Himself on the cross. Jesus was buried in the grave, but three days later He was raised from the dead, conquering sin and death. This is the Gospel. (Romans 5:9-10; Romans 8:1-18, 29-39; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

We believe that salvation includes repentance, which is turning from sin; faith, which is belief and trust in Jesus Christ; justification, which is the total pardon of all sin; sanctification, which is the certain growth of every Christian in Christ-likeness; and glorification, which is the final and ultimate perfection of every Christian. (Romans 8:28-39; Galatians 2:20; 1 Peter 1:4-5)

We believe the church is the Body of Christ and is expressed as autonomous local congregations of baptized believers all over the world and throughout time. Qualified men fill the office of pastor. Qualified men and women serve the church. The Body of Christ will include believers from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. (Acts 2:41-42, 47; 5:11-14; Colossians 1:18; Revelation 21:2-3)

We believe that all Christians observe the two ordinances of the church, which are Baptism and Communion. Baptism is the immersion of believers in water signifying their union with Christ and the church. Communion is the remembrance of the death of Jesus Christ and our accountability to obedience. (Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; Colossians 2:12)

We believe that God in his own time and way will bring the world to a right end. Jesus Christ will physically return to earth at that time. The world will be judged and all Christians will be brought to live together with the Lord in Heaven forever. (Matthew 16:27; Romans 14:10; 2 Peter 3:7-18)

We believe the mission of the church and every individual believer is to make disciples of all nations. We do this by being ambassadors of Christ by preaching His Gospel to all people. (Psalm 46:10; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
